Who we are

IncomingDad (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a personal support tool for fathers and expectant fathers. We are not a medical provider. Nothing in this app constitutes medical advice.

What we collect

We collect only what is necessary to run the service:

  • Account data: your name, email address, and a hashed (not readable) version of your password.
  • Profile data: your stage (expecting or newborn), due date or birth date, and optional names for your partner and baby.
  • Usage data: newborn logs (feeds, sleep, diapers) and checklist items you create.

We do not collect payment information, location data, device identifiers, or any data beyond what you explicitly enter.

How we use your data

Your data is used solely to:

  • Personalise your experience (greetings, tips, defaults).
  • Store your logs and checklist so they persist between sessions.
  • Enable household sharing if you choose to invite a partner.

We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with third parties except where required by law.

Health information

Some data you enter — such as due dates, birth dates, and feeding logs — relates to health and family matters. We treat this data with the same care as any personal data. It is stored in an encrypted database and is accessible only to you (and your household partner, if you have set one up).

The tips and guidance in this app are for informational purposes only. They have been reviewed for general accuracy but are not a substitute for advice from a qualified medical professional. Always consult your GP, midwife, health visitor, or paediatrician for medical decisions.

Data storage and security

Your data is stored on servers within the European Economic Area. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Passwords are never stored in readable form — only a secure hash.

No security system is perfect. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you by email within 72 hours of becoming aware of it, in line with GDPR requirements.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate data (you can do this directly in Settings).
  • Delete your account and all associated data.
  • Export your data in a readable format.
  • Withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.

Household sharing

If you create or join a household, the other member of that household will be able to see your newborn logs and checklist. They will not be able to see your email address, password, or profile settings. You can leave a household at any time in Settings.

Cookies and tracking

We use a single session token stored in your browser's local storage to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies, analytics trackers, or any third-party tracking scripts.

Children

This service is intended for adults (parents and expectant parents). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you by email and update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
